Abstract Repository management platforms play a vital role in modern DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments by providing centralized storage, management, and retrieval of binary artifacts, software dependencies, and container images. As enterprise software development continues to expand, repository storage utilization grows rapidly due to the increasing volume of uploaded artifacts. Efficient infrastructure resource planning has therefore become a critical administrative task because insufficient storage capacity can disrupt software development, build, and deployment activities, leading to operational downtime and business losses. Although repository management platforms provide automated cleanup mechanisms, these approaches are primarily designed to remove obsolete artifacts and cannot effectively predict future storage requirements. Since frequently accessed artifacts cannot be deleted without affecting ongoing development workflows, administrators require computational techniques that enable proactive infrastructure planning. This paper presents a computational framework for infrastructure resource planning using Univariate Linear Regression Analysis to predict repository storage utilization from historical storage consumption data. The proposed model derives a regression equation that captures long-term storage growth patterns and accurately estimates future repository capacity requirements. The prediction results assist administrators in proactively scheduling storage expansion, optimizing repository maintenance activities, and preventing service interruptions caused by storage exhaustion. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed framework closely approximates actual storage utilization trends while reducing administrative effort, improving repository availability, enhancing storage resource utilization, and supporting proactive capacity planning in enterprise-scale DevOps environments.
