| Abstract | Infrastructure automation has become a regular part of modern IT operations. As organizations move toward cloud platforms, hybrid environments, and faster delivery cycles, tools such as Ansible help teams reduce manual work and keep systems consistent. However, automation also brings risk when playbooks are written without proper structure, validation, access control, and secrets management. This article presents a practical framework for writing risk-aware Ansible playbooks. The framework focuses on modular design, environment separation, secure variable handling, idempotency, least privilege, validation, and auditability. The goal is to help DevOps and operations teams use Ansible not only as an automation tool, but also as a controlled method for improving infrastructure reliability and security. |
