| Abstract | Argonaute proteins are found to exist in all types of living organisms, found across all domains and kingdoms of life. Although they fall under the category of uncharacterized proteins, they ubiquitously act as slicers of various non-coding RNAs. This process leads to the silencing of mRNAs, which become function-less. This work deals with the detection of analysis of protein motifs found in the plant argonaute sequences of some plants. Using an identical work plan, that can be undertaken for other domains of life, may help in increasing our knowledge about the Argonaute proteins. |
