Abstract | In today's hyper-connected global economy, supply chains face an unprecedented level of uncertainty stemming from a range of disruptive forces such as pandemics, geopolitical tensions, natural disasters, and technological shifts. These disruptions have exposed significant vulnerabilities within global supply networks, emphasizing the need for strong, adaptive, and resilient leadership to navigate volatile environments. Supply chain leaders are tasked not only with managing operational continuity but also with fostering agility, innovation, and stakeholder trust during times of crisis. This paper explores the essential leadership competencies, strategic frameworks, and cultural enablers required to lead supply chains through periods of uncertainty. Through an examination of case studies, leadership theories, and best practices across industries, the study identifies key strategies such as adaptive leadership, scenario planning, digital enablement, and collaborative decision-making that empower organizations to enhance supply chain resilience. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of how leadership approaches influence supply chain stability, adaptability, and long-term success under uncertain conditions. |
