Abstract | The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical decision-making processes has led to transformative advancements in diagnostic precision, personalized care pathways, and operational efficiency. However, the challenge of balancing automation with physician oversight persists. This paper explores the current paradigms of collaborative intelligence, critiques real-world implementations, and introduces a risk-calibrated framework for harmonizing AI utility with human judgment. By delineating cognitive boundaries and proposing hybrid decision architecture, we posit that AI's optimal role in medicine is not to replace clinicians but to strategically augment their capabilities. |
